Have you ever heard of a capsule wardrobe? Well the idea has been plauging me for some time and yet did nothing. I continued every morning getting dressed and then an hour or two later changing my mind and getting dressed again. Sometimes this happened 3 or 4 times. Well...enough was enough! It was time to to embark on a new venture - the capsule wardrobe venture.
I emptied my closet of all the clothes, shoes, scarfs, skirts, dresses, and jeans. The pile on the bed was enormous!
I put back the items of clothing that I absolutely LOVED and left the "hem" things on the bed. Surprisingly, this step was easier than I thought it would be. I've gone through my closet many many times while everything was still in my closet and was able to take out the things that I really didn't like, but this way I was able to see exactly what I loved and the things I was only keeping because they were in great condition and I felt like I HAD to keep them.
I ended up with a GIGANTIC pile of clothes, shoes, scarves, etc on my floor, but my closet was oh so clean, neat, and fresh feeling! I was SO happy to have narrowed down my options. And now I can honestly say that getting dressed in the morning has become one of the easiest things ever. I put on one outfit in the morning and stay in that same outfit all day!
